Shielding tester App
User manual
The Shielding tester app is designed for testing radio signal shielding effectiveness in boxes, cases, bags, and other products offering radio signal blocking. Please read the manual before starting the app.

1. The application allows testing cellular (800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, and 2600 MHz), Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz), and Bluetooth (2.4 GHz) signal quality. To start a test, launch the Shielding tester app on your smartphone. If you receive security notifications from the operating system, grant the app access to the required functions.

2. To measure signal quality, run the test on your smartphone while it's not inside a shielding device. After you see the Test Shielding notification, click OK, put the smartphone inside the shielding device, close it firmly, and wait for 30 seconds. Once testing is finished, you will hear a beep. Put the smartphone out of the shielding device, unlock the screen (if the smartphone went into standby mode), and click Stop Test. The maximum test duration is 180 seconds.

3. You will see the testing results on the screen. If the signal was fully blocked, you will see a green checkmark in the results. If the radio signal made it through the walls of the shielding device, you will see a red cross. In case of an unsuccessful test, you will see the message Test Failed, detailing the radio channel that did not pass the test.

Starting from iOS 11, the assessment has an error of ±5 dBm. To ensure smooth and faultless operation, grant the app all access rights it requires at the startup.

The results you get are not accurate and only intended to create a general picture of the signal strength and shielding effectiveness.
